Checking for market and exporting to excel

Hello all.

I am looking to create an excel program that connects to betfair and will list all soccer games that have a specific market.. for eg Penalty Taken. I only want it to list the games if this market is available. I am a beginner programmer and am wondering is something a beginner would be able to do? Do I have to use API and VB?
