    Forecast and reverse forecast

Can anyone tell me how betfair decides which horse race markets to offer forecast and reverse forecast bets on and when during the day those markets appear please? Thanks.

of no real help but yes just to agree that it does seem somewhat random?! clearly race size is important and it seems that under 7 runner's you get the forecast option but above 6 runners while there's no forecast it's not obv how they determine whether to offer the reverse forecast. will be interesting to hear if any hard rules exist?

      Hi Sedgefield,

Forecast markets are offered for fields sizes 3-6 and Reverse FC offered for field sizes 7-10. They are loaded between 10-11 each day and then depending on NRs more might be added manually throughout the day.

      Kind Regards

      Neil

Hi. Thanks for the replies. I felt it should be something as you describe Neil, but that does not seem to be the case. Take the win market 1.212054174 today, 14 runners and no FC. It defies logic to me. I would appreciate it if someone could offer some clarity. Thanks.

          Hi Sedgefield,

We don't offer FC or RC forecast markets for markets of more than 10 runners. This is primarily due to the number of selections that need to be created for larger fields. We've noticed, that on balance, this leads to lower overall liquidity with fewer selections being priced up.

          Kind Regards

          Neil
