17:10 Doncaster : Reduction Factors all NULL

In the 17:10 Doncaster today the Reduction Factors are being returned as NULL.

I do not believe all these would have been < 2.5%, and it does not look as if any reduction has been applied to bets previously placed.

Hi Sansa,

Due to an issue during market creation, no RF's were saved before activation meaning they couldn't then be applied for NR's.

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to correct the RF at this stage but it's an isolated incident not affecting any other races.

Thanks for the reply.

It is more than inconvenience, money has been lost on anyone's bets which should have had their liabilities reduced by the Reduction Factors.
I hope Betfair don't see it as an error that their customers have to accept. It is not even just an API problem.
Will we be compensated?

Affected layers have been credited the difference between what they paid and what they should’ve paid with the Reduction Factor.

Thanks for the update.

I hope procedures are in place to prevent this error from happening again. One of the side-effects was that Unmatched Lay bets were not Cancelled. I laid 3 bets on the winner which were placed prior to Morning Sun's withdrawal and they were Matched shorty after. Obviously, these bets should not have been still available.
