KeepAlive and Login endpoints are diffrerent for Australian customers

According to the manual pages the endpoins host names for the KeepAlive and Interactive login services are different for AUS customers

    AUS login endpoint: https://identitysso.betfair.com.au/api/login
    AUS keepAlive endpoint: https://identitysso.betfair.au/api/keepAlive

    Is this a typo?

Could be. I was able to ping identitysso.betfair.com.au but not identitysso.betfair.au.

      You are right.
I have checked through the WHOIS - domain name betfair.au is not registered.

I've just hit this same problem with a Bot to be used by an Australian client.

        He can Login, using https://identitysso.betfair.com.au/api/login

but he doesn't seem to get a KeepAlive response from https://identitysso.betfair.au/api/keepAlive

I'm guessing that keepAlive should be https://identitysso.betfair.com.au/api/keepAlive

        but it is a guess.

        Does anyone know?

I'd suggest to change it and see. I found the keep alive and even the log out options to be totally flakey. Eventually gave up on both and it didn't seem to affect what my program did.

I eMailed the BDP team to ask about this because I really need to know too.

I took the liberty of cut'n'pasting the body of your question and I've just received the response:

            "Thanks for getting in touch.

Indeed that is a typo and it will be rectified as fast as possible.

We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."

Unfortunately the response didn't say which is correct and which is incorrect! So I've mailed back to ask.

            Will keep you posted.

In my earlier post, I'd pinged both, and only the .com.au versions accepted the ping.

Thank you for your further investigation on that.
The typo is betfair.au since the host name is absent in the Australian WHOIS database

Yes, well I'd done the same as jabe, pinged both, and come to the same conclusion as you and him, but since I'm coding for someone who has an Australian account, but I have only a UK account I wanted to make absolutely sure.

As final confirmation, I've just received this from the BDP team:
                    Thanks for getting in touch.

The login endpoint should be correct and the KeepAlive endpoint should be https://identitysso.betfair.com.au/api/keepAlive
