2 secs delay placeOrders api call

Hi guys, I know that there is a delay between the placeOrdes api call and its execution by betfair, is there a way to reduce this?

Licensed Vendors have this delay?

This is very annoying, because of the fact that in horses races the market is too fast to meet my order requirements

Is this with your own software?

If it is it could just be the time difference from when you get the current odds plus the time it takes to send off the API call... But 2 seconds seems like quite a long time! Is your internet speedy?

I dont think that Betfair deliberately delays the API calls!!

I assume you are talking about inplay betting (bets placed before the off are not subject to any delay).

The delay is fixed and cannot be shortened.

The actual delay differs depending on the sport/market and the length of the delay for that particular market is returned as part of the listMarketBook call.
