Does the Stream API have betting delays?

If I get access to the Stream API for the Exchange, and decide to place a bet through there during inplay, will there be betting delays?

You cannot place bets through the Stream API. The Stream API is a read-only stream that returns information about odds and orders.

The only way to place bets is through the normal API.
