    Date type time zone?

The `Date` type apparently represents a datetime in the 'Europe/London (GMT)' timezone. Unfortunately GMT is an ambiguous term these days. Does this mean BST or UTC?

    UTC.

BTW, GMT is unchanging, and although it's a timezone, it's interchangeable with UTC colloquially.

      Thanks for clearing that up.

GMT is zero timezone without any daylight adjustment

My language convert GMT to local timezone automagically:

        Code:
        new Date('2016-06-27T12:31:44.072Z')
        Mon Jun 27 2016 15:31:44 GMT+0300 (MSK)

I asked roughly the same question a while back on this forum. The clue here is in betfair's use of the "Z" at the end of their datetimes.

          Means "zulu" or "zero" time.

So yeah, UTC, GMT and Z all mean the same damn thing.

GMT becomes BST in British Summer (which I'm pretty sure is some kind of bad joke as it's mostly dull and rainy) Time.

          Betfair only ever use UTC/GMT/Z.
