Is there delay on in-running bets

    Hello,

I wonder if betfair uses an in-running delay when bets are placed during a game which is currently in play?
If that is true, I wonder if the below seems to be correct which I found when googling?
I also wonder if there ALWAYS is a delay on every bet when in-running?

Soccer - ranges from 5 – 8 seconds depending on the latency of the feed. 95% of games are 8 seconds though
    Tennis – 5 secs
    Golf – 5 secs
    Cricket – 5 secs
    Specials/Politics – 5 secs
    American Football – 5 secs
    Darts – 3 seconds
Power Snooker and Snooker Shoot-out – 3 seconds (all other snooker 5 seconds)
    Greyhounds - 1 second
Baseball (MLB only) – 6 seconds
Ice Hockey (NHL only) – 8 seconds
    Track Athletics – 1 second
    Swimming – 1 second

The betDelay on ListMarketBook tells you how many seconds it is.

It may be due to the delay inherent in digital radio broadcasting.

Thank you, I found it there as you said.

I wonder a little why this delay exists in in-running games, I wonder what the reason could be?

It may be to do with taking away any advantage people in attendance might get from seeing what has happened a few seconds before the rest of the world gets to see or hear it via digital broadcasts.

If one know something before others, he still has advantage.

I think that betDelay work on placing orders but canceling orders is immediate. Cancelling has priority over placing.
