On Saturday we experienced a hardware failure in our network which primarily affected API-NG. The failure did not occur at the application layer - in other words the API-NG software itself was not what failed, but it did suffer from the failure. So the positions might easily have been reversed, and this incident does not reflect any inherent instability in API-NG or increased stability of the old API. (API 6.0).
We apologise for the inconvenience caused and are looking to improve our response time to such issues going forward.
New features recently delivered or in beta for the new API include the Heartbeat API available to all users, and the beta of tennis scores available via the Scores API.
Roadmap features for the new API include market streaming with prices and order states streamed to users on a publish and subscribe model.
