HTTP Status 401 - Invalid account status

Trying a really simple bit of code that just calls the 'ping' endpoinr but getting:

"HTTP Status 401 - Invalid account status for request"

I've confirmed username and password are correct.

What causes this error?

I appreciate this post was a very long time ago but i'm hoping to discover how this was resolved? I get the exact same "Invalid account status for request" response which is not listed in the documentation. All of my credentials are correct and have been checked many many times using several clients. The info from jabe above does not resolve the issue for me.

Was there an issue with your account only Betfair developer support could resolve?

You need to have made some kind of bet that was matched and settled within the last 3 months. That sometimes stops things happening.
