Best programming languages to learn for creating bots

    Hello there.

I have been playing around with the idea of learning to program for many years, with the end goal for me being able to create a betting bot hence me coming to this forum. I was wondering if any experienced programmers would be kind enough to lend me a hand. My current problem is that i am completely overwhelmed with the sheer number of different languages there are to learn and i'm just not quite sure which one is key for me being able to achieve my goal despite hours reading up on the different kinds of languages available. It would be much appreciated if someone could set me in the right direction!

    Thank you in advance.

Have a look at Bfexplorer BOT SDK:

        http://bfexplorer.net/Products/BfexplorerBotSDK

app is programmed in C# and F# programming languages, and as they are .NET programming languages, you can program your bfexplorer bot for betfair in any .NET programming language like mentioned C#, F# but as well Visual Basic, and others:

        https://dotnet.microsoft.com/languages

        not just Microsoft supported ones:

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catego...ming_languages

Using Bfexplorer BOT SDK you do not need to program betfair api code, just your bot strategy, as the rest is already programmed in bot sdk.

To compare bot code in C# and F#:

        https://github.com/StefanBelo/Bfexpl...MyMarketBot.cs

        https://github.com/StefanBelo/Bfexpl...MyMarketBot.fs

It is the same bot code that will 10 times write total matched volume on a market when running, compare C# and F# code, and its readability for non programmer. I think F# version is more readable.

        You can see here

        http://bfexplorer.net/Articles/Content/333

that my bot sdk is able to interact with other programming languages like R or python, in .net it is simplified just by really nice F# libraries, Type Providers. So if you want to use machine learning libraries from R or Python as well, and integrate them to you betfair bot when using Bfexplorer BOT SDK.

Bfexplorer is open platform for betfair bot development, not just trading app you would think.

Learning to program with BF-bot as a first project will almost never succeed.
