Querying historical data by competition ID

Evening,
I've been playing around with the historical data API, it wasn't straight forward at first but it's started making sense now. I'd like to know if I am able so query/request the historical data by competitionID? I can filter by countryID, market type, date etc but not competition. I'd like to pull out only the premier league events from the the GB football data, is that possible? Is it also possible to lookup the details for a given historical eventID in order to find the associated competitionID and other details?

Unfortunately, there is no competitionId filter available within the historical data.

However, we can provide you with a custom mapping report if you confirm the time period for which you require the data. This would provide a list of eventId#s that belong to the Premier League competition which you can then use to filter from the provided historical data.
