  • API Tutorial in R - AFL Odds PulleR Tutorial incorrect or outdated?

    Hi,

I have been diligently following the API tutorial in R, writing, copying and editing the code for my own purposes/learning along the way.

I am now stuck on the AFL Odds PulleR Tutorial and I think it's because of a problem when using the "map_df" function - the error message I'm getting is that it requires the argument 1 (".x") to be a data frame or named atomic vector.

Has anyone else run into this problem as well? Surely it should be possible to copy and paste all the code for this part of the tutorial and have it work, and yet it doesn't so something must be incorrect somewhere. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Oswald we produced this tutorial out of Australia, from our side the code runs fine as is so we think the issue is likely caused by an edge case with the markets you're handling - the sample code provided isn't extensive in its error or edge case handling. Could you please produce a reprex and send it through to automation@betfair.com.au so we can pick it up at our end and investigate further? https://github.com/tidyverse/reprex

    Thanks for flagging.

    Cheers,

    Kerrin
