I used to use the API back in 2016. I've revived some old code but I keep getting INVALID_SESSION_INFORMATION. Back in the day, when my session code expired it would automatically get me another one.

I read there may be subscription costs, so maybe that's why it's failing to do so. In short, as a general personal user, are there subscription costs now? When I used to use it they were not any.

API access is free for development purposes (using the Delayed App Key) for private betting customers and licensed software vendors.

A one-off activation fee of £299 applies for Live App Key access for betting purposes. This is debited directly from your Betfair account once access is approved. Activation fees are non-refundable. Please note: Read-only access via the Live App Key isn't permitted.
