API paid for with no warning?!

    Hi all,

I'm trying to get some help since Betfair support are being incredibly unhelpful

I went to use Bet Angel's free trial period and it started saying that it was applying me for an API. I had no idea what that was but it seems it comes with a £299 fee attached?!! I stopped the program part-way through the procedure but now I have no idea whether money is going to be taken from me. I was told to contact API but I can't even find the link to do that.

One person seemed to suggest it was Bet Angel's API that would be used, and that I would be getting one personally. However, the Bet Angel app seemed to suggest it was applying for one for me.

Please can someone clarify my position?

    Thanks
    John

    Hi John,

Bet Angel is a licensed third party software application that uses the Betfair API.

Bet Angel offer free trials and different products on a subscription fee basis.
These fees aren't to be confused with the £299 that Betfair charge for direct API access which is for customers wishing to develop and bet using their own applications via the API.

Please contact Bet Angel directly for support relating to Bet Angel (see http://betangel.kayako.com/Tickets/Submit)

    Kind Regards

    Neil
