Could someone please point me to where i can find the data/request limits

unfortunately the link contained in the FAQ is invalid:

specifically, i want to know the limit on the number of bets i can place in a second whilst staying in the limit

You can place 200 orders per request:

Limited to 1000 per hour before charges appear:
