Hi,
It appears in some sports that the SelectionId for a team in a match odds market is consistent across matches (so England always has 12345 for example). I can't find any documentation relating to the actual guaranteed uniqueness of this and I did find one case where in a cricket match two different teams that happened to have the same name also had the same SelectionId (confusingly). This either means Betfair made a mistake creating the market or SelectionId is somehow based on competitor name...
Does anyone know the actual answer to this?
