How to safely allow another person to work with my BF account?

Hello, I would like to have a bespoke GUI made for trading on the exchange and have an on-line gaming acquaintance who is a programmer willing to have a go at making it. He doesn't have a BF account and possibly may not be able to get one due to where he lives. My question is what way can it be done if at all that only allows that person access to the developer key / environment and not my personal account information?

    Many thanks.

Why you do not hire software developer who knows betfair api, and have experience with betfair?

It is clear when your developer have no account, have no access to betfair api, have no experience, then how can he develop anything reasonable for betfair?

    Programming is about knowledge.

      Hello Bf4c
Yes bfexplorer is 100% correct. Programming for BF is like climbing Mt. Everest. It's very very difficult and unless your 'friend' is an expert at BF programming OR is very committed then he and you will give up after wasting a lot of time. Sorry.

Hi Bf4C, I agree with the replies so far. The Betfair API is not something, which can be developed against professionally (i.e. reliably) without a solid grounding in the intricacies and lower-level inner workings of the entire engine, so to speak.

Drop me a line if you would like to discuss possible collaboration

To those who might see this reply three years later... thanks for the replies, it's shame I didn't even know there were replies. Anyway, it seems all the replies are along the same sort of mindset that without the experience might as well not try, just hire a coder. Well I didn't ask whether I would succeed, I asked how to have a coder develop on my account without giving access to my personal details. The simple answer is that it isn't possible.

Regardless, three years later and the "acquaintance" I mentioned is now my good friend and business partner. I trusted him and we have a successful and profitable relationship. Having a trusted partner is WAY better than giving away my methods to someone I don't really know.

Anyway, having seen these messages after so much time I just thought to make a quick comment. It seems we turned out to not be the typical losers that give up as some thought would happen. I wish you all have had the huge successes over the last few years as we have and that you are growing in profitable opportunities as we are.
