Can't add web reference?

I'm following this guide
https://forum.bdp.betfair.com/showthread.php?t=1566
i'm on on step 4 to add the web reference - https://api.betfair.com/global/v3/BFGlobalService.wsdl - but i keep getting HTTP status 410 Gone

I'm using Visual Studio 2013

any help?

This guide was for the old API that was discontinued November 2014. The new API (API NG) is what you should look at now, see e.g. https://api.developer.betfair.com/se...PI-NG+Overview
