Constant incorrect results

Why is it that Betfair never return the correct results for Greyhounds?

The number of incorrect results are a joke. 7 in the last 3 days (that's just the ones I checked)

Just checked that it stated this dog won the race which is incorrect - Excel Growler won.

I called listMarketBook for 1.118147302 and see winners listed as 7570661 and 8579984.

Other sources tell me that
7570661 = Blackrose Nero
8579984 = Excel Growler

so the data looks fine to me. Perhaps you should check how you map from the given selectionID to the dog name (because dog name is not in the listMarketBook response)

I just realised you stated the API responded with 8389546 listed as winner, so it might be that betfair changed their data.

Can you grab/post the json response next time you see an error?

Someone is obviously keying in the wrong results and changing it later.

just so that we are all on the same page here, you are aware that in a Place Market there is more then 1 Winner.

e.g.
In an eight runner field, there is 3 WINNERS & 5 LOSERS shown, this represents the runners that will be paid out to the backers of the runner.

Betfair does not list the runners in order position.

Yeah - I think he's aware, but the examples he's giving are erroneous anyway.

If r4ge is definitely parsing the JSON correctly then the only explanation can be betfair data errors. I see these elsewhere sometimes.

Just seen another one this morning. What I don't get is that was settled immediately as loser on the Betfair website. I then make a call to check the result from my application and this is telling me that it won.

but was a loser on the place market

For that race (10:31 Romford), I got the following back from Betfair:

8409716 (Borna Giggles) - WINNER

Yes, I get that result now too. But I got a different result 20 minutes after the race finished.

Well that is very strange as the results that I posted were obtained at 10:34:41 - 6 seconds after the market was closed.

I don't know what has changed if anything, but everything has worked perfectly today.
