    Invalid_bet_size

    Hello,
I backed a runner for £2 @3.8, later the price increased to 4.9. Now I want to cashout and the correct stake to lay is 2x3.8/4.9=1.55. When I try to lay £1.55 I got an error INVALID_BET_SIZE. So please could someone advise me how to implement the cashout when the stake required is below £2?
    Many thanks

Place a bet at daft odds for £2 (so nobody will take it - but celebrate if they do). Increase stake to £3.55. That gives you two bets. Cancel the £2 bet. Alter the odds of the £1.55 bet to 4.9.

    (If I remember correctly).

So this way I can actually trade betfair using much smaller stakes to test out my strategies. Just wonder if there is any adverse effect on my account if I do this for a few months?

As long as your exposure is greater than 1p you should be fine (I do it all day, every day) just make sure you are tracking your transaction count (1000hr)
