    Impossible to log bots

    Hi Gents

    I am not a API programmer/developper

Since several weeks, i am facing problems to log any bot to Betfair.
BetAngel, Bet Trader, Geek's Toy: any of them is able to run properly.

I am absolute neophyte in "Computer Sciences" but something i have notice is that in my account - my account security, there's something about API-ng : it seems that I must upload a SSL to allow bots to log to my account.

    Any idea ?

      Thanks Silent

My major problem is : those Software (B.A, G?T,etc...) are not supposed to "do this job" ?

Before, but before what I don't know, I have never encounter any problem to use them. So why now :-) ?

mumrly - you DO NOT need to upload an SSL certificate for bots like Gruss or Geeks Toy to work.

In fact, existing versions of those bots should work without modification as the old API is still operational.

What precisely is the issue that you are getting when trying to log in using these bots?

Just an off topic comment that i must do: Thumbs up for Gruss (I'm not affiliated). Tremendous work of the developer and a great software.

I use the old API to get the session token and then use the new API. I think that the developers of those software's should be able to do the same so the user will never notice any difference (until they do a full transition).

            Hi Betdcs

The problem is complex. And I am not able, at this day, determine from where is coming the bug

I must say that I am from Belgium, where Betfair is prohibited. Betfair offer the opportunity to log via an adress.eu

            Since 10 months, no problem.

With the new site, I write my username and my password. I receive this answer :

We are experiencing some technical issues and unable to proceed with your login. Please try again later.

When I switch to the old site: no problem to log. And with the new site, it's possible but i have to place a bet, then a window appear and when i write my username and my password, i am log...

So i think there is something wrong with my account, but Betfair redirected me to ads@betfair.com

When I try to connect one of my bots to Betfair: absolutely nothing happen.

With Bet Angel, appear a window with an error code
With The Geek's Toy, this morning I got the same error message, but yesterday, it was a huge message, reporting a ssl problem.

            I am lost

It seems to me that you are trying to solve too many things at the same time.

Why not just contact Bet Angel with the error code that you are getting and ask them why you are unable to log in?

That should hopefully give some idea of where the problem lies.

murmly, i remembered that you can try make some requests to the API with this tool and see if you get an error:
