This was in a post from Betfair today...

"API-NG will continue to be available on a free trial basis until the 30th April 2014 at which point we will provide a further update. "

It would be nice to have a definitive statement that there will be a free version of the API available after April.

What are most people going to do if betfair decide to start charging for access, I guess we may see a big rise in screen scraping bots

Who knows where it will go. Betfair will always be looking for revenue. How much do the bots contribute to overall liquidity and ultimately the success of their exchange?
