Phone to Sever trigger

Hello! My first post on the dev form... I see lots of helpful information about the Internet on use of the API in different languages, but how do I actually trigger an automated program from a mobile phone? Or execute the kill switch from a mobile phone? tyia

The only way that I've thought of is for you to create a website that you can alter something on via phone and get your program to check the something to see if it's changed.

Thanks jabe. I know of a bot that is triggered for the day, with an text. Just a few parameters get sent, I think one on each line. I don't know how they do it obviously...

I guess it's possible someone's on the other end receiving the text but I doubt it -that would be unethical for various reasons.
