    Betfair Historical Data Hackathon - 20-30th July 2021

    We’d like to invite you to attend the Betfair Historical Data Hackathon 2021.

    Date - 20-30th July 2021 – The Historical Data Hackathon will be a 10-day remote event.

    Objective - Bring Historical Data to Life!

    Betfair Historical Data has a wide customer audience from hobbyists to data experts. The challenge is to create something that helps these customers take the Betfair Historical Data and enable them to build betting strategies more quickly and easily. How you choose to achieve this is up to you!

    Prizes
    • 1st place - 12 months historical data (worth up to £2000) + Betfair merchandise gift box
    • 2nd place - 6 months of historical data (worth up to £1380) + Betfair merchandise gift box
    • 3rd place - Betfair merchandise gift box

    All four entrants presented their final ideas on the 30th July to six judges from across the Betfair Exchange with marks given for the demo, ease of use, originality, speed & efficiency.

    We are pleased to announce the winners below:

    1st Prize - “How to turn Harold into a cyberpunk?” is provided as an open-source Python library and is available via the historical data sample code (by Community member mberk)
    2nd Prize - Betfair Historical Data Processor – web-based tool for converting historical data files into CSV format for consumption within Excel (by Community member – LiamP)
    3rd Prize – Web-based graph interface using historical data (by Community member – Lennard)
