Could accurate race distancing (ie. including yards) be added to the API?

HI,
AUS and NZ races have accurate race distances because they are in metres but US and GB are rounded to the nearest Furlong which means the distances can be over 100 yards out. I don't really understand why this discrepancy needs to be there.
Is it possible for yards to be added to the race distance in the market name or could perhaps there be a field in the marketdescription for a distance that includes yards (or is a conversion to metres)?

The race distances are ingested from our feed provider and are in the same format across all Betfair channel (API, website, mobile).

We'd only update these if there was a change in the format sent to us via our feed provider.
