Hello. It seems that the resolutions for markets ‘Goal Lines’ and ‘Asian Handicap’ in football matches are consistently incorrect in certain circumstances. I assume this is a bug. I’ve noticed this is the pro data, but also basic data has the same issue. I’ve seen other random errors in other markets, but they are rarer. Could these incorrect resolutions mean payouts would also be erroneous? Or is this data separately defined?
Here are some examples from August 24. But all events ive downloaded suffer from the same issues
Goal Lines:
If the fulltime score is 0-0. Then all outcomes say WINNER
Example: 33324283 Nacional (Uru) v Sao Paulo 15/08/2024 Score 0-0
Under:0.5 WINNER
Over:0.5 WINNER
… (all the same)
Under:8.5 WINNER
Over:8.5 WINNER
If the match is cancelled, all results say LOSER
Example: 33521738 Penarol v Flamengo Cancelled on 26/08/2024
Under:0.5 LOSER
Over:0.5 LOSER
… (all the same)
Under:8.5 LOSER
Over:8.5 LOSER
For whole number handicaps, if the adjusted goals are even, both Over and Under say LOSER rather than REMOVED as id expect
Example: 33504884 Stuttgart v Mainz 31/08/2024 Score: 3-3
Under:0.5 LOSER
Over:0.5 WINNER
… (all the same)
Under:5.75 LOSER
Over:5.75 WINNER
Under:6.0 LOSER
Over:6.0 LOSER
Under:6.25 WINNER
Over:6.25 LOSER
… (all the same)
Under:8.5 WINNER
Over:8.5 LOSER
Asian Handicap:
If the match is cancelled, all results say LOSER rather than REMOVED
Example: 33521738 Penarol v Flamengo Cancelled on 26/08/2024
Penarol:-4.0 LOSER
Flamengo:4.0 LOSER
… (all the same)
Penarol:4.0 LOSER
Flamengo:-4.0 LOSER
If the adjusted score is even, both Home and Away results say LOSER rather REMOVED
Example 33504884 Stuttgart v Mainz 31/08/2024 Score: 3-3
Stuttgart:-4.0 LOSER
Mainz:4.0 WINNER
… (all the same)
Stuttgart:-0.25 LOSER
Mainz:0.25 WINNER
Stuttgart:0 LOSER
Mainz:0 LOSER
Stuttgart:0.25 WINNER
Mainz:-0.25 LOSER
… (all the same)
Stuttgart:4.0 WINNER
Mainz:-4.0 LOSER
There is no enum defined, for 0.25/0.75 odds, eg HALF_WINNER , HALF_LOSER, so not sure what these should be.
If these are bugs, are there any plans to fix?
Ive included the python to print out the above examples, you will need to pip install betfair_data, and point the root_folder to your path. It should be the one file per event format for August
Many thanks
Martin.
